Our journey began with the traditional art of wooden boat building, a craft deeply embedded in the coastal heritage of the United Arab Emirates. Over the years, this foundation allowed us to evolve naturally into modern boat manufacturing, incorporating fiberglass construction while preserving the design philosophy and workmanship that define our identity.

A Legacy Founded on Craftsmanship
Al Shamsi Boat Factory was founded by Saeed Ali Mattar Al Shamsi, building upon a family legacy deeply rooted in traditional boat craftsmanship and lifelong experience at sea. The foundation of this legacy traces back to his father, Ali Mattar Al Shamsi, a master boat builder whose life was shaped by fishing, pearl diving, and captaining vessels across the Arabian Gulf.
Ali Mattar Al Shamsi dedicated more than forty years to building traditional wooden boats entirely by hand, using time-honored techniques refined through real marine practice. His work became known for producing well-balanced, seaworthy vessels distinguished by their performance, durability, and precision. Among his achievements were the construction of large wooden boats reaching up to 110 feet in length, capable of carrying over 130 passengers, as well as racing vessels that achieved first-place results consistently over many consecutive years.
As founder and General Manager, Saeed Ali Mattar Al Shamsi transformed this inherited craftsmanship into a modern boat manufacturing operation. Under his leadership, Al Shamsi Boat Factory continues to preserve traditional values while delivering wooden and fiberglass boats designed to meet contemporary operational needs, ensuring quality, reliability, and trust across every project.
